Structural Mechanics Group
Engineer/Senior Engineer (2-5 years)

Our client is a leading structural engineering firm with multiple offices across the United States.  They are looking for an Engineer with 2-5 years experience to play a role in the structural mechanics group in their Orange County, CA office.

Responsibilities:

• Perform seismic/structural analysis and evaluations of nuclear power and Department of Energy nuclear facilities
• Perform seismic soil-structure interaction analyses
• Perform field walkdowns of equipment and structures
• Prepare calculations and reports

Requirements:

• MS degree in Civil Engineering with structural engineering emphasis or equivalent
• 2-5 years experience in structural analysis and design of buildings
• Strong background in structural dynamics and finite element analysis
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• California Civil PE (Preferred)
• Experience with structural analysis tools, such as SAP2000
• Familiarity with ANSYS and SASSI2000, a plus
• Ability to work in a team environment
• US citizenship (Preferred)
