Staff Engineer (2-7 years) – Revit Structure Use Required

Our client is a leading structural engineering firm with offices on both the East and West coasts.  This company is well known for their technical expertise, and specializes in building design, building envelope design, and building repair, investigation, and rehabilitation.  They are looking for structural engineers for their building design group in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities:

• Model structures in Revit Structure and assist staff in learning/using Revit Structure
• Perform a wide range of structural engineering analysis and design tasks in steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures
• Develop building structural systems, both gravity and lateral
• Travel to construction site for site observation
• Be involved with a building design throughout the entire process, from design inception to construction administration
• Help mentor less experienced engineers

Requirements:

• BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis or equivalent (MS Preferred)
• 2-7 years experience in structural design of buildings
• PE License Preferred
• Hands on experience with Revit Structure, high level capability with the program required
• Knowledge of analysis tools, such as RAM, ETABS, SAP, RISA, etc.
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
